Andrea Brockmeier

Andrea Brockmeier began her project management career in the non-profit sector in Dallas where she developed and directed a community program for refugees.  After returning to Minnesota, she spent over 10 years managing technical, operational, and financial projects.  She also has many years of experience developing and leading technical project teams.  Most recently, she has focused on curriculum development and training delivery of project management and influencing skills classes.

Andrea’s passion for project management works equally well in the workplace and the classroom.  Her energy, enthusiasm and rapport with students create a lively and interactive learning experience, whether through teaching, mentoring or consulting.  She is also a talented course developer who brings years of academic and business experience to any development project.  She is highly committed to partnering with her students to be a meaningful part of their learning journey.

Andrea holds a BA in sociology from North Dakota State University, and a MA in cultural anthropology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.  She holds a number of technical certifications and is certified as a  Project Management Professional® by the Project Management Institute.  For the last 7 years she has been actively involved with her local PMI® chapter as a team member and instructor for the PMP® Exam prep course.

Her two kids fill most of her time when she’s not teaching or developing course ware.  Otherwise, you might find her at the Guthrie or other local theaters, enjoying live music, reading at home, cooking ethnic foods, or practicing Yoga.
