1.
How many questions are in your exam bank?
There are currently over 750 questions used in this
exam system.
2.
Will the study exam allow me to stop and resume,
or do I need to take the entire test in one sitting?
The
system allows you to stop and start your exam as often
as you need to.
3.
Will the study exam save my results between sessions?
The system saves
your results and exam progress in between sessions,
up until the time you begin a new exam.
4.
Why do you offer three modes?
We designed the CBAP® Online Study Exam to work
progressively in synchronization with your exam preparation.
The Warm-Up mode is meant to help you get started answering
questions, which can be an intimidating experience
for people who haven't taken exams recently. The Drill
mode works well in conjunction with more detailed study.
It lets you focus on one or more Knowledge Areas at
a time, for instance, when studying BABOK® sections
as part of a study group. The Exam Simulation mode
is designed to be used for your final preparation stage.
Use it to take simulated exams to practice taking 150-question
exams like the actual CBAP® exam.
5.
How do you present the questions?
This depends on the mode. For Warm-Ups, we choose 50,
100, or 150 questions depending on the length you select.
We select a random combination of mostly easier questions
mixed in with some harder ones. The selection is from a variety of Knowledge Areas (KAs). In Drill mode, we present questions from one or more KAs. For Exam
Simulations, we randomly select 150 mostly hard questions,
plus a mix of easier ones like the CBAP® exam does.
We choose the percentages of questions from the BABOK® KAs
to simulate the CBAP® exam blueprint as published
by IIBA®. For each simulation you will receive
the same KA percentage mix, but a new random set of
questions from our exam database.
6.
What do you mean by “detailed answer feedback”?
Our exam is not just an exam “bank.” We
designed it to be a solid study aid that you can learn
from and improve your understanding and retention.
In Warm-Up and Drill modes, you will see extensive
answer explanations for both correct and incorrect
answers as you answer questions. You will also see
BABOK® reference numbers on most correct answers
and applicable incorrect answers to guide and focus
your study. In Exam Simulation mode, the feedback is
given only after you complete an exam.
7.
Can I go back and review questions after I answer
them?
Yes, you can do this in two ways. In any mode you can
sequentially browse back and forth through questions.
You can also jump to a specific question anywhere in
a current exam.
8.
Are the exam questions like those on the actual CBAP® exam?
The CBAP® Online Study exam was prepared based
on the same taxonomy as the actual CBAP® exam,
namely Bloom's Taxonomy. You will get different types
of questions, such as definitions, situational problems,
and “lists of lists.” The latter are challenging
because you need to carefully read each item in a list
of possibilities. All questions have four discrete
possible answers, with “None of the Above” or “All
of the Above” not being options on any
question.
There are a few differences from Bloom that we chose. First, some of our questions ask you
to choose which of the four items is “NOT” like
the others, or you might be asked to choose “all
of the following EXCEPT” one. These are harder
than the real exam, and will require you to know the
BABOK® material more thoroughly. We also constructed
many of our questions as learning aids to help you
answer the actual questions.
9.
I noticed a few questions that didn't seem to flow
well. Is that done on purpose?
Our wording may not always be the most grammatically
correct or sound as “smooth” as we may
like. We carefully worded our questions to match the
BABOK® style, and to help you get acquainted with
the possible types of questions you may receive on
the CBAP® exam.
For example, here is the BABOK® definition
of Business Analysis, and the somewhat awkwardly worded
definition:
“Business analysis is the set of
tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among
stakeholders in order to understand the structure,
policies, and operations of an organization, and to
recommend solutions that enable the organization to
achieve its goals.” BABOK® 1.2.
10.
Who wrote the exam questions? Do they have their
CBAP®?
The exam questions were written by four members of
the Watermark Learning team, all of whom are CBAPs.
We based our questions on material directly from the
BABOK® version 2.0.
11.
There were some questions that did not seem right.
How can I verify your answers are correct?
For nearly every question, we provide a BABOK® reference number so you can verify the answers and learn from them. That is the best way to verify answers. Going
to a specific BABOK® section can be a valuable
time-saver when you are studying. If you still feel
an answer of ours is incorrect, we invite you to send
us your feedback, and we will personally answer each
inquiry.
12.
Can I renew my subscription?
Absolutely! If you find you need additional time to study, we're here for you. We offer discounts on subscription pricing to current subscribers who purchased a subscription. If you received a free trial through our CBAP® Certification Preparation class or CBAP® Certification Study Guide you will also be given the opportunity to renew before your subscription expires.
