MINNEAPOLIS, MN – January 9, 2003 – Watermark Learning,
a leading project management and requirements analysis training
company, today announced the acquisition of Denning Training
Services, a twenty year old MN-based consulting and technology
training company that specializes in Entity Relationship Modeling
for Windows (ERwin) instruction, training on web site design
and numerous programming languages for web, client/server
and mainframe environments.
“We believe that the Watermark Learning acquisition
will continue to give our clients a high quality service and
the kind of top-notch training they have come to expect,"
said Ray Denning, President, Denning Training Services.
The acquisition of Denning Training Services allows Watermark
Learning to expand its requirements analysis training with
Denning's ERwin curriculum, and adds additional capabilities
for its database training with Denning's SQL Server, DB2 UDB,
and Access curriculum.
Watermark Learning recognized that a growing number of its
requirements analysis training students desired to enhance
their ERwin development skills. ERwin Data Modeler software
is a Computer Associates product that helps visually document
and define the proper structure and key elements for optimal
database design.
“Many of our clients use ERwin to capture data models
and deliver requirements to software developers in a graphical
format,” said Richard Larson, Watermark Learning principal.
“Now, through Denning’s offerings, we can blend
hands-on ERwin training into our requirements analysis curriculum
so that clients can improve skills for managing their requirements
for new database development and ongoing maintenance."
Watermark Learning is integrating ERwin training into its
requirements analysis courses including Data Modeling, Advanced
Data Modeling and Data Modeling for Business Clients.
