Not exactly.\u00a0 It\u2019s an agile project manager.\u00a0They may not be superhuman, but they are super popular right now.\u00a0Anything agile is hot, and although not the right fit for every project or every organization, its popularity is not likely to wane anytime\u00a0soon.<\/p>\n
PMI is introducing an agile certification in the third quarter\u00a0of\u00a02011, and there\u2019s an opportunity to participate\u00a0in the certification pilot.\u00a0 Applications for the PMI Agile Certification will be available at the end of May to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria<\/a>.\u00a0 Pilot candidates will submit their applications and then be the first to take the exam when it becomes available\u00a0in September.\u00a0 They will receive their scores 10-12 weeks after taking the exam, during which time PMI will be evaluating the responses to determine the pass\/fail criteria.\u00a0 (Post-pilot candidates will get their scores immediately after taking the exam.)<\/p>\n So the pain of having to wait for your score might be worth it to be among the first to hold this new credential.\u00a0 It wouldn’t be surprising to see the number of\u00a0PMI agile certificants swell to a\u00a0sizeable number fairly quickly.<\/p>\n Start documenting your agile\u00a0training and experience hours now to make the application process\u00a0a little less painful.\u00a0See the PMI website<\/a> for more information, including the exam content outline<\/a> which will help identify what is included in the exam.<\/p>\n Good luck!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Not exactly.\u00a0 It\u2019s an agile project manager.\u00a0They may not be superhuman, but they are super popular right now.\u00a0Anything agile is hot, and although not the right fit for every project or every organization, its popularity is not likely to wane anytime\u00a0soon.
